7th - Peter Jones 1977 - LUNDY
8th - Brian Nimmo 1978 - BRAID’S CHOICE
The 7th hole shares an elevated tee with the 15th, encompassing
panoramic views towards the coasts of Somerset and North Devon.
Weather permitting, occasional glimpses of the nature reserve island of
Lundy give added pleasure.
On a clear day from the tee there are outstanding views of Caswell Bay
and Lundy Island. The tiger tee demands a well struck drive towards
Cliffe Cottage with the second shot a medium iron to a smallish green
which is arguably the most demanding on the course.

9th - Malcolm Calder 1981 - CASWELL DRIVE
10th - John V. Jenkins 1983 - SHELLARD’S RISE
This 301 yard Par 4 hole runs westwards towards Caswell Bay, the
contours of the fairway tilt towards the cliffs on the left side. The
approach shot to the long narrow green, guarded by four bunkers, and
playing into the prevailing wind, causes the main difficulty to the hole.
The 10th hole is situated in close proximity to Caswell Bay.The fairway is
dog-legged in shape and there is a small hedge on the right side of the
hole which produces a difficult approach shot. The most appropriate
name for this hole must be SHELLARD’S RISE, to recognise George
Shellard’s immense contribution to Langland Bay Golf Club.
